Yeah but I am sure most of them can give you legit enough reasons to not like it, like most any game.
Personally I find the multiplayer to be like a slowed down UT with Ghost Recon styled controls. It was nothing "brilliant" or "jaw dropping" even for a console game it didnt make me sit back and say "damn." I enjoyed the story mode a fair amount, enough that I could beat it with the controller upside down up to heroic, and on with my feet on easy. But the mutliplayer just did not have the draw for me. Then I realized why the story seemed familar, go read the Starhammer series.
Twenty years ago it would have been called theft, nowadays it is considered an amage.
Also UT2k3 came out when Halo was big. Bombing run will forever be one of the best FPS game modes. |

Xero, I could host the registration form if you wanted on my site, and then just export the data as an cvs file and stick it in excel for tigerlan.
Its an option at least |

hey smacktards - it's [rhymes with bucking] vandyl here - wtf you think I was gonna do? Export prereg as an sql and force the desk to sift through the dump?
Christ - (I wish it had been mentioned on the notes posted in the first place) - the plan is to port the preregs to an excel file with a prereg flag for easy reading. That way I don't have to worry about setting up a webserver on my laptop (already have though, so it's a null issue) and whoever's taking care of door regs is bound to be well versed enough to understand excel.
Sorry for the [rhymes with pitching], but sometimes people here [rhymes with piss, oh wait, it is piss] me off. Have some confidence in your admins.
Another thing - I'm all for democracy (hell, I signed up to, erm, fight for it [yeah tell 'em that]), but when it comes to organizing some serious competitions, it requires less VOTING and more COMMON SENSE on the part of the administrators.
That means, hopefully, we're not going to let the tournaments be decided by vote. Not the official tournaments anyway.
Here come the flames, I'm sure of it, but I don't give a 5h1t.
Prereg will continue the way it has been for quite a while, but with more advertising and emphasis. And I'll write a little script that'll pull the prereg table and make a clean spreadsheet for use in excel.
I ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMEND US SETTING UP A SEPARATE DOMAIN TO HOST TIGERLAN SO WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN A BETTER CONTINUITY FROM EVENT TO EVENT.
I'm not yelling, just typing loudly enough for everyone to read.
I really would like this event to become one of the more recognized lan events in the southeast, and in order for that to happen we have a lot of bullshit to cut out from the whole process of planning of, and ramping up to, Tigerlan itself.
I've created a drop-box [here] for intelligent input. The rest of you can cry about it on some other forum. |
