All of these choices will be for deathmatch format.
Single or double-elimination depending on number of entrants.
Rules will be determined based on number of entrants.
Rules options will be along these lines:
1v1 double-elimination deathmatch
Four-person single-elimination feeder deathmatch, top 3 continue
Sixteen-person single-elimination feeder deathmatch, top 8 continue
Versions will be whatever is the latest version before 15 April.
Half-Life 2
Painkiller
Quake 4
Unreal Tournament 2004 |

I love both UT2k4 and HL2:DM but UT is really the better game for competitions. |

My vote goes for PK, or for q4. Both have been proven successful in large scale tournaments (CPL, quakecon, ESCW) and have tournament proven competition mods (PK++ and q4max). Either one would be an excellent choice for a tournament. |

You shouldn't need a mod for a competition in a game. It's then a competition in the mod, not the game. |

Sadly open_gl Wolf 3d was canceled sometime back. And the version I had went away with my harddrive before Tigerlna 9. Though Open_gl Quake 1 and GL_tron are both in full function. If it works over an dishevled lan, all challengers are welcome in tron. |

For those who care, there will be Quake III/TA played by others in a none competition setting. III was chosen over 4 since it is now technically freeware. |
