So, I'm trying Budweiser American Ale for the first time tonight, and I have to admit, it's almost good enough to eat steak with.

Pretty close to a good Sam Adams Boston Lager, but maybe not as filling or bitter. Still has that Budweiser sweetness to it. I'm gonna enjoy it. What do ya'll think?

Only tried like 6 kinds so far, and the one I prefer is Johnny Walker Black Label.

Bah. I wanted to talk about beer... I'm not really a whiskey guy, but Fat Brian harps on about Wild Turkey American Honey. It's pretty smooth. Dunno if you really want to classify it as whiskey or mead, though.

Oh, I got this small one-shot bottle for my birthday. Got this stuff called... Red Stag by Jim Beam. It's freakin' flavored whiskey. Like Smirnoff... but for whiskey. Stuff I was given was black cherry. Tasted... well... bad. Thoughts?

Flavored whiskey?!? is that you Satan? Don't you corrupt this too. Go back to hell.

Well for beer I prefer a Guinness on tap. if I have to I will fall back to Fat Tire, Killian's, Harp, Amber Bock, Corona, Heineken. In that order. All other beer is simply tolerated if it is darker than the American piss beers. Otherwise it won't be consumed.

American piss beer = American brewed discount beer that is stronger/darker when it comes out than when it goes in.

Hmm... Fat Tire... Never heard of that one. What is it?

I've never really been a fan of Heineken, but I agree that it's better than american piss-water. And I'm not the biggest fan of stouts, either, but I still like them. I think most people have a love affair with stouts, even if they don't really like them. But, I will say that mellow mushroom here in Auburn has a really good one called Rogue Imperial Stout. It's like drinking beer flavored syrup, and I think it's a good beer, even though I'm not really a fan.

Now what I'm trying to find is an Oktoberfest beer I once tried that tastes like pumpkin. Can anyone think of it? It isn't Sam Adams, I know that for sure, although that one's good, too.

Fat Tire is out of Boulder Colorado. Alabama doesn't sale it quite yet, waiting on the law to take effect.

I'll have to stop in MM next time I'm in Auburn now that I have a reason other than pizza.

Fat Tire is good, Had it awhile ago, but its a good one.

Preferable order: Guiness(draft, bottle, can), Bass, Sam Cream Stout, and then just about any pils.

As for flavored whiskey, we shall never speak of such atrocites again, mmkay?

scotches: glenfiddich, glenlivet, and then dewars.

so expensive but so good... sometimes it sucks to be a pro alky...

Gentlemen. I have in my hand a very special, wonderful beer. It's sweet of taste and full of body. It's Samuel Adams' Imperial White.

It is wonderful, like some kind of dessert or breakfast. Wonderful.

Here in Huntsville we've got the pretty awesome Olde Towne brewery, their Double IPA being the tastiest (though at 12% ABV, I can only drink a couple and still remember them, heh).

Otherwise my favorite is probably Sierra Nevada's pale ale.

I like it in the absence of other beer on tap, however it is too sweet to stand alone amongst other taped beer.
