I may start putting these on the forum, but for now you'll have to be at club to get the benefit of this series. When they get put on the forum they'll be a compilation of what I had prepared to say and what was suggested ad hoc during the lecture.
Why this?
Part of the AUCGC's purpose is to help improve the game playing abilities of its members, so it seems a good idea to have quick semi-formal Lecture/Q&A sessions every so often on the topic. Goes a little beyond offering up tips during game play.
What this will be:
On random Friday nights (probably every other week or so) I'll have a 5-10 minute segment on improving your gaming skills. It won't interrupt your gameplay if you don't want it to, its only for those that care to participate. If you can listen and game then that's fine with me.
I will talk for a few minutes on a given subject then we'll have an informal Q&A and listen to any suggestions/tips that anyone has. I'll be compiling it all as we go and post it on the forum afterwards. To participate will benefit you better but if you miss it then you'll be able to check the forum. I think this would work out best for everyone.
When is the first one?
Edit: First one will be tonight, 2005-02-04 probably between 7 and 8, depending on when people show up. |

So what is your stance on Gay Rushing? Is it ok or should we ban it to preserve the legitimacy of Rushing? |

sulking? I don't sulk. I throw huge fits but I never sulk. Now if you mean to say skulk in the shadows I don't do that either. The worst I ever do is stab people in the back but that is usally right out in the open never from the shadows or while skulking. |

Hey Xero, are you going to continue these later in the semester? They were actually pretty informative, and I took some of it to heart...and promptly found the places I shouldn't have with a telelocator in UT2k4.
You know, maybe he shouldn't have told us to explore so much... |
