AUCGC is considering allowing members to bring console gaming platforms on a regular basis.

Summary:
1. Officers will provide projector and screen.
2. Members will provide console, accessories, and games.
3. Use the forums to decide on console, games, etc.
4. Normal club rules apply where applicable to the consoles.
5. Members should take extra caution to be careful with the equipment since it belongs to other members (e.g., don't throw the controller).

Execution:
1. The officers will provide a stable resting place for the console (e.g., an empty media cart).

2. The officers will provide a means of video for the console. The console video will be patched to the projector in the main lab (Haley Center 3223) for now.

3. The console audio will need to be hooked up to a headphone splitter if sound is desired (for 10 Feb 2006 the projector audio may be used). If this goes well and continues club will consider buying the headphone splitting equipment.

4. Club members will be responsible for providing the console and all related equipment (i.e., consoles, A/C cables, power supply, games, et al.) each week. These responsibility details will be discussed in the forums by the members. Officers will not limit the number of consoles brought every week but will limit the number of active consoles. This will start as one console and increase if demand and availability exist in the future.

5. Neither AUCGC nor its Officers/Representatives will be responsible for the console and related equipment and games. These are the property of the individuals who provide them and as thus these individuals assume all responsibility.

Initial Proposal:
Console Rules:

1. Headphones are a must have or no console gaming. As well as a headphone splitter for multiusers.

2. Bring all equipment for as many players as the console the can handle. Also bring the RCA cables as that is our only hookup to the projector.

3. Normal rules that are for the club apply for gaming on the consoles.

4. No throwing of the equipment. We are priviliged to get the equipment and if you fuck up the projector, I will fuck you up (Per Reverend Phukface).

5. Only one console per week and the console will be decided upon during the week via the forums. Also who will be in charge of bringing the console will also be decided upon on the forums. The officers will administer the consoles but the users will maintain them during club hours. It is not our responsibilty for what/which consoles/games are brought, so please try to make up your mind as to what you are bringing for the night.

6. Furthermore, any damage to consoles/games/accessories/projector will be the responsibility of those involved, and not that of the club itself or any acting officers.

Please read the Consoles for Lab thread.

Sign YOUR REAL NAME below in order to participate (For legal purposes.)
No need to bother with this. [xero]

Please read the Consoles for Lab thread for weekly info on bringing consoles.
