All of these choices will be for deathmatch format.
Single or double-elimination depending on number of entrants.
Rules will be determined based on number of entrants.
Rules options will be along these lines:
1v1 double-elimination deathmatch
Four-person single-elimination feeder deathmatch, top 2 continue
Eight-person single-elimination feeder deathmatch, top 4 continue
All entrants deathmatch, top 3 win
Halo
Halo 2
Serious Sam
Whacked! |

I think HALO2 should be played however I think that people shouldn't be allowed to use MODS if they have MODED they're x-box. Its more fun in my opinion that HALO1.... I dunno maybe so custom game types kinda like in TEAM ACTION SACK on LIVE have like SHOTGUN as a start weapon and like make it a ODD BALL game with like 3 balls I dunno I am open. Anything really works just wanna change it up! |

Halo 1, Shotguns, No Shields, Chillout
Based 100% on reaction time.
Bring it on. |

I hope this kid isn't serious. the only problem with having people vote and make suggestions is random ass people's suggestions are usually not very good.
I can't say whacked! or Serious Sam are bad tournament games, but if you just put that on a flier next to no one will show up for that part of the tournament, then again, if halo or halo 2 is listed, you will draw more attention to the event. |

nono, your right, Serious Sam is a bad tournament game, especially on the xbox. These guys must have had some good crack that day. We all know Halo 2 is going to win so it doesnt really matter. |

No idea mate, Im in a different state. But like most voting polls, the most popular wins. Note why in the 2d fighter category Melee is going to win again. The competition circuits seems to hit these lulls every five years or so. |

The flyer doesn't list the competitions, it just lists some expected games, though those games tend to become competitions.
Note the flyer lists: Half-Life 2, UT2004, Painkiller, Battlefield, Quake4, Counter-Strike, Battle for Middle Earth, Rome: Total War, C&C Generals, Burnout, NFS: Most Wanted, Super Smash Melee, Halo 2, MK:Deception
But, TigerLAN being a LAN Party, is subject to that list changing depending on what people want to play. |

hi yall,
i'm in for Eight-person deathmatch, top 4 continue with games being played on 3 maps. (top 4 in kills to continue.) however, that would require 4 tv's (2 per tv) cuz playing 4 on a TV is ridiculous (even a 27" for that matter). Also, I would like to cast an additional vote in favor of Halo. We could have a 2v2 deathmatches or some other format. That would be different from the usual singles tourneys.
Also, how about putting up posters at EBgames in the mall and tigertown and other electronics shops around town. Didnt know if you guys had already thought of this one.... I could print the fliers and take them, if you want..

There should already be flyers in EB, Rhino, Collector's Corner, Timeout, and Hasting's (not sure on Hasting's).
Feel free to print out flyers and put them wherever they're allowed.
