Since most of us oldtimers dont honestly care about the PC tournaments, what all games do yall want me to bring? I still have access to thinstall and have been slowly buying up all the games I enjoy. Ive been in talks with others but right now my list of working looks like this:
Aliens vs Predator Gold - patched with the right patch this time
Unreal Tournament 99 - ChaosUT, Jonesys Mod, and a couple other mods
Unreal Tournament 2k4 - with Air Buccaneers
Counter Strike Retail - 1.5 patch with TFC, HLDM, DM Classic, Opposing Force, Wanted, and some others installed
Battlefield 1942 - with Desert Combat and Pirates
Delta Force 2 - patched and with a 32 player sever
Descent 2
Descent 3
Rise of Nations Patriots
Age of Empires 2&Expansion
Red Alert 1
Red Alert 2
Tribes 2 - fan patch
Tribes Vengeance
Quake 2 - lots of mods and maps
Call of Duty
Medal of Honor Allied Assault
Serious Sam 1&1.5
Dungeon Siege - with 100x exp mod
Total Annihilation - need bigger maps
Civ 2 Test of Time - build 1.1 - just to piss scorp off...
Craft series - 1-3 with expansions and Star with expansions
Working on:
Return to Castle Wolfenstein - patch makes the game less stable for some reason.
Battlefield 2/2142 - but I may have this licked - profile issue
Mechwarrior 4 - crashes on create a pilot - hope the free release fixes this
Delta Force Black Hawk Down - has issues with mini image and nocd cracks.
Serious Sam 2 - havent even looked at it.
Any suggestions/ideas for other titles? |

DF2 hunt the fuzzy pixel used to be a blast. Ah the memories.
Does the FTP site exist anymore, I had every TA unit and map zipped up in there at one point. |

Giants Citizen Kabuto
Big Red Racing
Carmageddon
Original Quake with Superheroes mod, or if someone has created a new version for a later version of Quake, would be fun.
We used to play a lot of the Star Wars Jedi Knight, back in the day.
Recommend doing anti-tournaments. Pick some of these games and make up crazy rules then pool completely unrelated game ranks, to hand out prizes. |

| I'm all for that sweet, sweet AvP Gold, long as you can get the draw distance to work right. And some BF1942. Serious Sam for the [horrendous censorship] and giggles. And some delicious TF. |

Trackmania is crazy fun. No one has played it most likely. Sort of a UK fad. |

Worms is vetoed by Scorched Earth and Death Tank
Giants - Never - Damn Scorp and his time tornadoes
Carmageddon 1&2 pose problems, but xero and I are working on it.
Big Red Racing will be borrowed from the Gamers library
Jedi Knight 1&2 will be added - I dont own Mystery's of the Sith any more though.
Freelancer cannot be thinstalled - it requires an install.
Subspace - Ive never played - looking into it
Trackmania has issues - either Steam or Starforce. Why a company puts Starforce on a free version is beyond me. |

| I have a zip file of the old FTP hanging around somewhere. I think Russell already has the TA expansions though. |

Worms is a decent rerelease of Scorched Earth and it does have its charm, but I do not own a copy of the pc version anymore. Scorched Earth and Death Tank on the other hand I own several versions of. Though I will debate that the Shai-Hulud are not tanks but harvesters of death. In Emperor Rise of Dune they were simply death incarnate.
Bandit if you could teach many the ways of the Merc Giants may be played again. The only time I actually enjoyed Giants is when I made platforms as high as you could above the Reapers base and most of the Merc team rained down death upon them. We lost mind you but it was a spectacular loss.
Cdplaya – while there is space there, my vehicle has trouble holding that much. I would need a moving van. I mean the NES collection is near 200 sure enough, and we are not going to get into arcade games… This was more because as I talk to several of the guys who were in gamers back when I was, and my friends who want to come, we were thinking about taking a section of Tigerlan and reverting it back to its Lanparty origins and stray from the tournaments. So this was mostly so I could get names of some other titles I had forgotten/not thought of, so we can “kick it” oldschool.
And yes xero is correct in that I have both Core Contingency and Battle Tactics (I even have Kingdoms and Iron Plague). But what Bandit mentioned were addon units, like the flea bomb and the necromancer. I have the official ones, but have yet to dig into the fanmade ones. I am really looking for those BIG maps that Scorp and I use to talk about. You know like the 1/6 replica of the US… |
