anyone know a good way to trick IR sensors?fastbilly1 - Apr 13, 2007 - 09:44 PM Post subject: RE: Wiimote + Compter = yay?
Two remotes with the buttons taped down. Other than that you can use any light emitting device. Or if you are really suave you will build a duplicate sensor bar with IR Leds. But since I cant find them in Atlanta I would think finding them in Auburn will be nigh impossible.
The remote idea is what I was going to use for UTR, but since I dont have the time not only to make it but to learn how to play UT with it, well it may not be at Tigerlan.xentrix - Apr 15, 2007 - 12:37 AM Post subject: RE: Wiimote + Compter = yay?
IR Leds, about a $1 each at the Scientific supply store on campus.fastbilly1 - Apr 15, 2007 - 12:39 AM Post subject: RE: Wiimote + Compter = yay?
Damn itjokeyxero - Apr 17, 2007 - 01:27 AM Post subject: RE: Wiimote + Compter = yay?
Southern Electronics in Opelika should have them.
Frys, hobby stores, and electronics stores should have them in ATL.fastbilly1 - Apr 17, 2007 - 10:34 AM Post subject: RE: Wiimote + Compter = yay?
Frys do not, hobby stores also do not, and all the electronic stores from ham radio to rc planes also do not.
All stores claim they carry them - but none have them. The people at Frys just stared at me when I asked.kurtmax_0 - Apr 17, 2007 - 01:59 PM Post subject: RE: Wiimote + Compter = yay?

It's like the Wal-Mart of electronics. Many thanks to fastbilly for introducing me to it.Ash - Apr 27, 2007 - 06:29 AM Post subject:
i got my wii-mote working now, i am messing with it and this python script to use in blender for modeling, or rather trying, sorta interesting anyway.fastbilly1 - Apr 27, 2007 - 10:55 AM Post subject:
sorry about bailing on you at tigerlan about all this chief. But with low sleep, like I had all last week, my mind starts to surf and adding vista on top of that was just a bit over its ability. I can do the four hour a night thing, but two is pushing it, especially for most of the week.PhukFace - Apr 27, 2007 - 03:27 PM Post subject:

it ended up just being a problem with the bluetooth stack. I had read on a forum that other people had a problem like mine, but once you connect 2 wii motes to a single comp (it does support multiple wii-motes) it will solve the problem. Don't know why the first one i tried didn't work but w/e.fastbilly1 - Apr 28, 2007 - 12:04 AM Post subject:
Odd, But it brings me to the thought, how many Wiimotes can I have connected at once? If it is more than four well I may have just found my bomberman controllers.Ash - Apr 28, 2007 - 08:02 PM Post subject:
the bluetooth stack (the one i was reading about at least) only supports 7 devices connected to it at once. So, thats 7 wiimotes if you want... someone on the www.wiili.org forums had 7 running and working fine.
I imagine on a linux machine you could probably change the bluetooth stack to support 8, but i am not sure on that one.fastbilly1 - Apr 28, 2007 - 10:15 PM Post subject:
7 is enough, that means I could support 10 right now... I will work on this tomorrow night. But I still need you smart people to fix bomberman...Ash - Apr 30, 2007 - 04:13 PM Post subject:
whats wrong with bomberman?fastbilly1 - Apr 30, 2007 - 09:52 PM Post subject:
Atomic only supports 10 players and on a small map. I want 20 players and double/quad sized maps. Double with dual monitor support would be the best idea.lordbyronIII - May 02, 2007 - 12:55 PM Post subject:
ooh. This'll require hax... anyone know where the bomberman source might reside?fastbilly1 - May 02, 2007 - 09:44 PM Post subject:
Go to the stick tournament thread in tigerlan upcoming, there is a link to the opensource bomberman clone.
Update - since I actually have time to post:
X-Blast - Opensource Bomberman meets Dynablast:

And sorry about hijacking your topic Ash.Ash - May 05, 2007 - 01:24 AM Post subject:

Global donination has a script for the House of the Dead pc game. Soon I hope to adapt it for mame. Then Ill just have to figure out how to mod a wiimote into a airsoft gun.
