So I'm trying to play Spore, which should be fine on my computer except that it keeps going from blackscreen to a resized desktop, with Spore closed. I end up having to change resolution to fix the resizing, but even trying to run it windowed or such makes it fail the same way. I'm thinking it's a graphics driver issue, and updating my driver should be able to fix it. Does anyone know where to pick up a decent driver update? I'm pretty sure I have an ATI x600 graphics card.

Thanks

Been there, done that, as far as I know all my drivers and stuff are up to date. I even had Ash check it for me and run some stuff to see, and he couldn't find a problem with it. Nothing from the ATI site does anything new for my computer, else I'd have the problem fixed by now.

The only other drivers would be Omega drivers or something, but I doubt it will fix that. Try using an older set of drivers (~ 1+ year older).

What system and OS are you running?

Also, this sounds like a notebook computer. Alot of the notebook graphics chipsets are kind of finicky. Most likely it isn't on the supported hardware list for spore. Also a notebook x600 != desktop x600.
