What was the population?
about the same as the last one. the rts turnout was abysmally low though, only 4 people signed up, and I dropped out because the tournament was happening at like 0:30 am and I didn't have the expansion installed because I didn't realize we were using that and nobody told me so I didn't want to delay them any further.
I really think that Starcraft brings more than 3 people to play it, tbh.
i felt like it wasn't the same as the last one there didn't seem to be any PC games that anyone offered to play me in or that I offered and people were willing to play with me in. I ended up playing Street Fighter 4 for pretty much the entire day into the night at 6am, only dropping a handful of games. I guess being at the XBOX made people think that I wasn't up for some PC games but I still had a lot of fun so it's cool. I missed the 2nd day (I had to do a project for monday and they canceled the Street Fighter 4 tournament because of some mistake about kyle taking home his copy of the game on saturday and not having a backup) so I don't know about the 2nd day. |

Yeah well, with Relic games you pretty much play expansions because the originals are patched with the expansion units anyways.
People could have voted for Starcraft... so don't complain about the game. At least we hadn't played CoH at TL ever.
I think part of the problem is that DIE isn't familiar with very many games, so someone should volunteer to lay out rules/version of game/etc after the voting and before TL. |

You guys do realize part of the process involves you mentioning potential games to play and attending TigerLAN planning meetings.
If the game selection sucks, it's partly your fault. |

Alright. Let's use this to our advantage and improve it for the next time. |

I recommend we turn the RTS tournaments into either a training event, or a leveled playing field event. There is rarely enough RTS players to justify a hard core tournament. But you can get a lot of interested people in a leveled field event or a training event. |

I agree completely. Most RTS'ers are RTS'ers if you know what I mean. It would seem almost pointless(besides for the fun of the game) to enter a tourney knowing you are gonna get stomped.
Although Scorp and xero can attest for my annoying ability to send random units in TA...
"Dammit Face send more than one unit at a time, its pissing me off!"
