Get it now!

http://www.google.com/chrome

Best browser... evar! Runs a new process for each tab so if a tab crashes it doesn't take down the whole browser. Oh, and it's about 1000x faster than any other browser out there.

(And it has a pr0n browsing mode!)

Even if Chrome doesn't take off, it will change the browser landscape forever.

It's just a text zoom. And it's still in beta (although knowing Google it will stay in beta forever.

I really like it. The minimal interface is awesome. I use keyboard shortcuts for just about everything anyways. It might confuse most peopled though, as most options are only available through keyboard shortcuts.

The search being integrated into the address bar is a bit confusing and at times annoying to use. Thought it is quite powerful since you can search any site that supports it that you've visited.

The relocation of the tabs is nice. Getting rid of the menu bar is ok too. I like the new style preferences dialog. I like the URL formatting, lets you see what's important at a glance. Not having a status bar is actually nice too, just gives you a tooltip anytime something important would be there. Animations are slick.

It just fades into the background for the most part.

Performance is the same as Firefox 3 so far, but I haven't really pushed it.

Though the use of webkit is annoying as it has all of the same limitations as Safari when it comes to rendering HTML/CSS.

Javascript/DOM performance numbers. Poor Microsoft, IE is just crap still. I wish they'd just grab the open source code for the core, it'd reduce the browser hacks for web designers and drastically improve their performance.

So what. It's not even a final release. I assure you it's better than the early firefox releases.

So if Chrome is now an OS, does that make the browser an emulator or a virtual machine?

Browser is closer to a virtual machine. Technically, it's a "user agent".
