Whatever date people arent called for service for - ej whichever one both face and vandyl are in town for.
Then again, roping Strangel, Ruger, Bandit, and some other alums to come back may mean a different date. |

It appears to be a temporary side effect of extended periods of diabolical planning. I have my team researching how to control it better, and extend the durations. You would be surprised how many times people talk about Smokey and The Bandit. I'm sure you can imagine how distracting that can be. |

bleh... Why would you play an old game, when you could play a new one like Supreme Commander, or Company of Heroes?
On a more serious note...
I suppose it is for the Halo effect, but other than that I can't think of one. But at what point does, playing the game that will pull in the most players for a tournament, cause you to play none of the games you would play in an actual gamers meeting? I thought half the reason for TL was for advertisement of the club. The other half funding. |

| There is a reason why games like starcraft and wc3 are still getting bids in the industries largest tournaments including WCG and ESWC over games like supcom and company of heroes. case closed. |

And that means we want to play it...why?
But back to the main topic of this conversation...when do we want to have this thing? And also, we need to hold a meeting to begin discussing events, advertising, coordination, etc. Also, it'll give a good idea as to who wants to help. People, please...volunteer! |

| Nov. 17-18 is really the only choice if we want it to not be on a football weekend. |

| Then I suggest locking that date down now and reserve it by the end of the month. |

| It really just has to be on a day thats not a home game. Away games usually do not cause to much hassle, except when the Counterstrike tournament takes place at the sametime... |

Well the away games are Florida (Sept. 29), Arkansas (Oct. 13), LSU (Oct. 20) and Georgia (Nov. 10). The Arkansas weekend might work. Just don't want to end up with a bunch of people skipping most of Saturday.
I know. Just schedule the Halo 2 tournament during the game. That'll fix it. |

| Well, unless the college mentaility has changed recently, the weekend before Thanksgiving town will quickly become a ghosttown. And I know how hard it is to promote things when there is no one to promote to, believe you me. |

Ahhh. Crap, yea you're right. I was thinking it was a week before that. That's not gonna work.
Looks like the Arkansas game weekend (Oct 13-14) is our best option now, second best probably the Florida weekend (Sept. 29-30). |
