but seems u never have any games that i play, i guess im outa the loop. I like Battlefield 2142, Americas Army, Starcraft BW, smash bros melee.
I know im retarded, but i cant stand CS.
U guys not even gonna have Smash Bros??? |

Heh, I'm in the same boat, Heiz. I am a big fan of 2142/AA/SC/SSB as well. |

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am of the belief that 2142 requires an active internet connection?
Also Melee was played as a tournament since it came out. After last semesters Tigerlan it was decided by those in charge to finally drop the last generation of consoles for both time and staffing constraints.
However I am also annoyed at the lack of Faceball 2000 and Wrecking Crew 98, I mean both are only slightly older than Starcraft and people still play them. Battlezone 2, Assault Rigs, and Combat would all be great choices aswell. |

Yeah, it requires EALink to be active to start up, I believe. |

Intarwebs is a problem at TL. We have to bridge it from the campus wireless, and to get more than port 80 to work someone has to log in with their VPN for the bridge. And that can bring all sorts of nasties down on their account.
So we tend to avoid games that require the internet for competitions. We're fine bridging it in every so often, or just pulling it in so you can surf the web, but full access requires trusting 80 strangers with your university account. |

| I think it only checks for EALink at the start of 2142 and after that you're in the clear. However, I can test this after I walk out of this class.. I'm just down the hall [3195] from 3223 right now. |
